Room and bathroom clean. Facilities good. Swimming pool closed, but we didn't intend to use it anyway. Good parking. Great breakfast. Dinner was tasty.

Breakfast was good. Plenty of it.
Room was clean and comfortable.
The bed was a little firmer than we are used to, but we both slept very well. No loud noise or people moving about.
Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.
Location was excellent, a very quiet countryside hotel.
Plenty of car parking space.
Didn't have an evening meal here so unable to comment.

We didn't see much of Telford as we were attending a UW conference. What we did notice driving around Telford to get where we were going was how clean it was. We will definitely be coming back to visit Telford itself later in the year.

Would thoroughy recommend the liquor room for cocktails and miller and carter for evening meal. Don’t stay at Mercure Telford City hotel though ….. have done so twice now with bad experience both times.

We came to attend an angling championship.
We came to attend an angling championship. The weather was exceptionally wet. Roads were closed and Ironbridge was flooded. We attended the competition and went home as soon as we could. We did revisit the Grazing Cow restaurant for our second evening meal. The food was good and a good atmosphere.

Birthplace of the industrial revolution, there are plenty of historical ruins and artifacts to see. Ironbridge is amazing considering when it was built. Multi museum pass is best value if you are staying for a couple of days. There are plenty of small villages to explore but be prepared for the narrow farm tracks if venturing off the main A roads.
Taxi’s are available in and around Telford but if you are travelling to a rural location such as Neenton (the Pheasant) you will need to contact a taxi firm such as 1st Choice Taxi’s in advance to make a firm booking. Uber services don’t Appear to be available once you are a few miles from Telford itself and mobile data is not always available.

Brilliant location with so many great attractions!
Brilliant location with so many great attractions! Town park is fantastic and all free! We also visited the exotic zoo which was lovely too! So much to do in the area, we will return again and stay longer next time to fit more in!
Modern decor, sophisticated vibe. The rooms were well appointed and clean. The pool was great (just remember a padlock for the lockers). The restaurant was always well staffed and the food at both breakfast and dinner was hot, fresh and really good quality. Would happily stay again, great location for Ironbridge, Telford, Severn Valley Railway and more. 10 minute walk to a shopping/restaurant area which also has 10 pin bowling, cinema and ice rink.
Everyone from reception, restaurant, Bar and other staff they were all polite very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The meals were good and well presented in a very good clean large restaurant.
The hotel is well placed for Telford shopping centre and for the Iron bridge gorge and also for RAF Cosford Air Museum which free to enter.
The hotel even did a early breakfast on the Sunday morning for anybody attending the Cosford Airshow.
Breakfast was very good, atmosphere good as were the staff who were very welcoming. The hotel is a little 'tired' but loved the old setting, & the location. The room was a good size. The bed was the worst part of the stay as it was very soft & uncomfortable, the shower was a lottery as to whether you got hot or cold water, however, the power of the shower was good. I would stay there again.
The location was beautiful- the village is really charming and there are some lovely walks round the area. We were attending an event at the Telford International Centre and the studio was only a short drive away which was ideal. The facilities are simple, but ideal for our needs, and crucially, the bed was really comfortable.
Beautiful setting, lovely grounds. We were there for a competition in Telford and all hotels in Telford Central had hiked up the prices. This was a 20 min drive from where we needed to be. Clean room. Lovely surroundings and fab breakfast. Good value for money. Will stay there next time!
Rob and Jackie, both exceptional

Breakfast delicious
Dinner available in bar area, worth eating there
Will definitely be returning
Location was perfect lots to see and do near to RAF Cosford the Ironbridge museums Coalport and lovely little pubs along the river severn.Near to Telford and Shrewsbury only a few miles away. The cottage was charming.
This was a welcome treat after the hustle and bustle of central Telford. 10 minutes drive and it feels like you’re in the middle of the countryside. The accommodation was welcoming, clean and very cosy.
The grounds around the hotel are very well kept.
Lovely setting. So very near the Telford shopping centre. Within walking distance.
Breakfast was very good. Staff really friendly.
The member of staff who welcomed me and booked me in was very friendly and welcoming. The location was ideal, with ample parking, a Starbucks and Burger King adjacent to the hotel.
Nice, clean and comfortable room, perfect location for the purpose of visit, on doorstep to the city centre also. Staff were very friendly too and also very reasonable price.
