It's value for money. Facilities are new, room was comfortable. Lots of parking places near the hotel but remember to pay during its enforcement time. 10min walking distance to the center. It's a decent hotel that I would stay if I come to Dublin again.

Amazing location, GORGEOUS room with top notch modern amenities (air conditioning, brand new smart tv, excellent lighting, bathroom floor heating! What?!) with so many little helpful details (bar fridge, nespresso + kettle, umbrella) and a REALLY nice shower. Bed was so comfy, staff was so helpful. I could afford it, and usually rooms I can afford aren’t half so well appointed. If I could give 100 stars I would.

FAQs about hotels in Dublin

Great History, Greenery and Pubs

Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.

Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.

Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

The Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish holiday, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, a self-catering apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.

A group of 6 friends toured Scotland and Ireland for 2 weeks. Despite all the historical castles, breathtaking scenery, great pubs and restaurants, the best part of Dublin, and all the other wonderful cities we visited...are the people. The people make this part of the world a happier place.

Dublin is an easy to walk/explore city, with lots to see and experience. 'Maps' can be very helpful in navigating the older parts of the city. Quite busy, and a bit crowded with visitors from around the world, which is to be expected. A vast array of neighborhoods and things to do - more than just the City Center/Temple Bar area. Transit is good, though not always on time. Local folks are generally friendly and helpful. Like any major city, staying aware of ones surroundings is important, especially after dark. We were there for a sporting event, and is was a great experience.

Dublin is a wonderful experience with umpteen places of interest to enjoy and when you visit safe areas but a little scary on public transport and in O'Connell Street particularly where one witnesses atrocious anti-social behavior. It is blatantly obvious that there are a lot of people suffering from a severe drug dependency. While this is extremely sad to observe it is also terrifying as the anti social behavior is extremely threatening and frightening.

Dublin is a great city for a couple of nights.

Dublin is a great city for a couple of nights. The bars and Grafton street are a must as well as Trinity College and Temple Bar. I would only stay longer than two nights if I was using it as a base for day trips to other parts of Ireland. Dublin is extremely expensive. You're more likely to meet other travellers rather than locals at the bars in Dublin. After two days it does become a bit boring. The standard and variety of food is not as high as other European cities yet are more expensive. If you're into bar hopping and live music there is no shortage. The music does tend to be repetitve in the different pubs with the usual singalong tunes in the Temple Bar area. Pubs outside that area tend to be more interesting and with more locals.

DCU accommodation was cheap but clean. Breakfast included.

DCU accommodation was cheap but clean. Breakfast included. Bedroom cleaned daily. Towels provided. Very clean bedding and towels. A little too far out of Dublin City centre especially as public transport was unpredictable. I would recommend this accommodation but be wary of using public transport. Taxi into Dublin is around £20 each way. You can use public transport with the Leap card but make sure you buy this from the main bus office in O’Connell street, otherwise you are charged an extra £5 euros per card in Spar’s and other shops. You can also pay cash on buses but you must have the exact change. It’s around 2,60 euros per person per trip. You can also buy visitor Leap cards for 3 or 7 days. This allows you to access local trams, trains and buses (when they turn up!)

An overcrowded city which is unpleasant to walk around in mainly due to the uninspiring landmarks, smell of urine and homeless people living in tents on the streets and begging outside shops. It's not worth a visit. If you are going to Dublin these activities were pleasurable; the visit to the Guinness Storehouse and the half-day trip to Glendalough and Wicklow with Paddy Wagon Tours.

My son’s wedding was in the city centre, so we decided to stay in the Clarence Hotel for two nights. It was a great decision as the location and facilities were perfect for us. We loved the luxurious rooms and the bars and public areas. I was also happily surprised by how quiet the room was, given that we were beside the nightlife area of Dublin. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay right in the heart of the city.
