The staff is amazing. The room and the bed are very comfortable. The Asiatic restaurant close to the Spa is very good and the Spa ( massages) as well. The breakfast is one of the best I have ever get .The front desk is very helpful. I would definitely go again ! ( sorry having spent only one night)

    Kolkata, a city that promises rich history and culture, sadly falls short in the most basic aspects of civic life. The streets are perpetually littered with trash, and the stench of garbage hangs heavy in the air. Extreme traffic which seem unnecessary. The humidity is suffocating, making every step feel like a chore. What's equally disappointing is the behaviour of the locals. Rudeness seems to be a default trait, with people often displaying a blatant disregard for courtesy. From vendors to pedestrians, there's a palpable lack of civility that's jarring. While Kolkata has its cultural gems, the overall experience is marred by its filth and the unpleasant demeanor of its people. Unless the city addresses these fundamental issues, it will struggle to attract visitors who crave a more pleasant and respectful environment. *Not recommended* for those who value cleanliness and basic human decency.

    Filthiest city i have visited tilll date within India. Its a dying city and people are alll depressed. There is no happy vibes around the city except for the sweets which is the only saving grace i found there.

    It was a religious temple tour. . I saw temple, and Indian Museum., Victoria Memorial,Kalighat, Dakshineswar, Birla temple, Iscon, BAPS - Swami Narayan temple. I m a google local guide , seen whole india, followers more then 10 lakh. It was a great experience.

    City of joy in true sense and the best food in India is in Kolkata, name it street food, food chains restaurants. People out here love their food and are very learned regarding food. The best milk sweets are available here only. You will go crazy with the varieties of sweets available here in Kolkata.

    Its so historical and ancient, that it's like living a history book as you walk the streets. The place has character, old world charm, and stories at every street and corner. Be ready to come face to face with almost British era time line. Visiting the charming old world places will consume your entire time. And then the food will blow your mind. Its range of veg and non veg spread will put a kings feast to shame. But the sweets will consume and overpower your senses. It so good, it's like God's own food.

    This was our second stay at the property. My mother has mobility issues so she finds this place greatly convenient as the rooms are on the ground floor and she loves being able to walk around the lovely garden space. The cafe has some of the best Indian breakfast in town! Ivy is more like home than hotel - don't expect everything to be on the dot but the staff will go out of the way to accommodate any requests and that's what keeps us coming back!

    This was our first night in India. Looking back the location is the best in the city and I wish we would've explored more on the Park street. The staff was super nice and the room was spacious. Of course you can't completely cancel the noise from the street, but if that bothers you, don't come to Kolkata. Overall great accomodation. Would stay again.

    In my opinion this is one of the best hotels in India operated in a historic building and located in the middle of Kolkata -- walking distance to everything. I love to come back every time. The food, in particular the breakfast was also marvellous, I had one of the best Thai dinners in my life -- presented by the Chef.
