United KingdomThe staff were fabulous. I was very stressed from travel problems when we arrived and the receptionist was so understanding and helpful and made a spread for us to eat. We were unsure if we were going to be able to get to a gig in the evening as so delayed from travel (the reason for going to Matera!) and she did everything she could to get us a taxi there, even intimating she would drive us herself if necessary! It was my birthday and they placed a bottle of fizz and 2 glasses in the room when they found out.
The hotel was very peaceful, beautifully designed, with a perfect pool and where the staff would come out to you to ask of anything you wanted. The breakfast selection was wonderful, faultless, and they offer snacks in the day. This is a family run hotel where the personalised attention shows.
It is 10 minutes walk from the stunning Matera town which has to be seen to be believed.
Our room was spotless and with beautiful features - it faced the back with no real view but other larger rooms did have much more space and balconys.

NorwayGot a great value deal on a small single room (which was small but very comfortable, may be a bit stuffy during mid summer but in early October it was perfect) for just a single night (busy itenerary) and was treated as if I was a regular staying in a suite for the nth time. Super friendly and helpful staff (everyone if you speak some Italian, but also fluent English speakers on staff). Location is great and the views from the hotel are breathtaking.

0Beautiful property in a perfect location. Absolutely delightful stay and cannot recommend this place enough. Only opened recently and it creates a 9 room (I think) boutique lodging experience in the middle of the upper part of the very beautiful old town. Fantastic views of the ancient old town lit up at night. Wonderful!!
