The location is fantastic, very close to the Itsukushima Shrine and the Tori gate. All the other main activities and points of interest can also be reached in a matter of minutes. Service was great, as the staff is very kind, welcoming and the free shuttle service from the ferry port to the hotel was very much appreciated. The room was very comfortable and the wifi is good. Also the onsen is a nice addition.

We had a lovely room with a view of the water. The hotel offered a transfer service to and from the ferry, which was a bonus. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We opted for dinner and we were delighted to have a typical Japanese menu, partly cooked by ourselves at our table. We tried food which we would not have normally ordered. The hotel also had an Onsen bath which we used.

This was a very pleasant change from our hotel rooms in the rest of Japan. This self-catering apartment offered a set of rooms which were very spacious with lots of storage. Beds were really comfortable with clean crisp linen. There were plenty of towels available in the bathroom, which in addition to a bathtub and wet-room style shower, also had a washer-dryer for guest use (with helpful instructions in English which we greatly appreciated!). There is a lounge with two L-shaped sofas, a coffee table and TV which gave us a nice space to relax in. There is an excellent, well-appointed kitchen with a large table that was very useful. Our host was very responsive to requests for information and generally very friendly and made sure we were all ok and we did not need anything. The location is excellent, only a few hundred meters from the ferry terminal and within easy reach of the Great Torii gate and numerous shops and restaurants.
