Sandefjord is very much a working, functional port town with good marina facilities for leisure boaters. There are plenty of options to dine out and have a stroll around the harbour/port area, but it is not really big on tourism as such, which is probably not a bad thing. Very good location just five minutes away from Torp airport. Also bus are frequent if you are going to big shopping malls. Norwegians are friendly and nice also helpful to tourists like us if we want to go places and need to catch the bus My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Sandefjord. We went out of season with limited activities---a month or two earlier and i'm sure our thoughts would be different. So expensive to live not just in Sandefjord but in Norway. Same price as Oslo---thought it would be better value.

The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has a lot of equipment and there is a lot of space in the house to just sit and relax. The house is located in very pretty neighbourhood. Our host was really friendly, made sure that everyone felt comfortable and also drove us to the airport. We’d love to visit this place again one day.JuliaPoland

They gave me some tips to get to Torp airport early in the morning and told me about the shuttle bus available at the Torp station which I didn’t know about. When I left the next day at 4am the person at the reception was once again fantastic, giving me a sandwich and fruits and coffe as I wouldn’t be able to get breakfast. Very kind and helpful staff!

It was wonderful to see more how locals live, and he made it very comfortable. The fresh-baked bread was incredible, especially for weary travelers.

The property is lovely and has a homey, bed and breakfast feel. Staff were very helpful, the room was lush and comfy (if a bit warm), and the breakfast was phenomenal.
