The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and there was no problem with parking. There are many restaurants around the area, one supermarket and the city is close by.
An amazing small city located on a mountain. The city is separated into an older part and a more modern part which is located at the lowest part of the mountain. The city has a plethora of murals and street art and you can download a dedicated application where you can find where all the murals are located and have a self-tour. The old part of town has amazing buildings and you can get lost by walking in the small traditional streets. The restaurants are of high quality and all the food we tasted was simply amazing. I will definitely be coming back :)

Unfortunately when we were there for a 3 night stay the weather was poor on two of the days so I might say the stay was too long. Didn't visit the city at the base of the mountain. The village where the chalets are situated was very quiet with not much going on, we spent most of the spare time in the hotel which was nice.

The Pousada is perfect for a relaxing break.
The Pousada is perfect for a relaxing break. The views are incredible. The service is very good, made to feel welcome. You need to drive back down the mountain for restaurants etc but the Pousada has everything you want. The air is fresh and all you can hear are the birds, superb.

A great city to use as a base to visit nearby mountains and go hiking. Also, if it's the right season for cherries, head to the market and get some. This area is home to the famous Cerejas da Gardunha you see in every supermarket in Portugal :)

O’Serrano de Repleto de Magia was fantastic for dinner!!! Covilha otherwise is a lovely, slightly sleep city in the off season filled with very friendly talkative locals. Free parking at the city square until December 2020 so that was great!

Very friendly people.
Very friendly people.
Usually we used to eat at the mall, but since it was locked down (it reopened monday the 1st June) this time we tried the pizzeria just in front of the mall and it had nice pasta and pizza.
We had lunch too at Manteigas, and it was great.
Yes, it is easy to get around Covilhã.
I was so happy to visit this region of Portugal. The highlands. I came to ski.
And Luna Hotel Serra da Estrela was my Home Base.
The hotel was lovely, and the staff were fantastic!
The first shift Receptionist Tuesday morning was Super Helpful and lovely! Can you thank her for me? (I didn’t get her name unfortunately…)
Also, a special thank you to Luis.
We had dinner at the Restaurant Medieval.
And it was Wonderful!!!
Great, friendly staff, and excellent food…
I will visit again for sure!!!
Even better than described, tidy and comfortable, with lots light and plenty of moving space, and a beautiful mix of vintage and newer furniture that work perfectly together. The Wi-Fi was good enough to work and join Zoom meetings without issue, and the beauty of the location in the middle of the old town can’t be beaten. The lovely host is ready to help and respond to any queries. Amazing stay, I would recommend anyone heading to Covilhã to give them a try!
Breakfast was set at 8.00 by hotel staff when arriving at the premises. Nobody was there at 8.00 and kitchen close someone arrived about 10 minutes late and gave us bread and cakes from day before, buffet was closed and eggs arrived half hour later.
Room was fitted with a wifi antenna white light in with a blue ring lit us all night.
Staff were helpful and friendly greeting us upon arrival. Breakfast had a good variety. Parking was convenient (although beware google.maps directions to the parking area behind the hotel, google tried to direct us to drive down a staircase). Firm beds and good pillows. Wonderful dinner at Hamburgueria Beirã nearby, a must try!
The hotel is well located, the rooms are spacious enough to sleep and beds comfortable. Lounges are good to chill and watch TV or play games. I liked the kids room although I feel there could be more toys available. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I loved the breakfast, it had plenty of choice and was delicious.
The inside pool was amazing and the kids love it. The gym was great. The rooms where large and clean. The parking was good, both in the garage or the outside. The location is really good, away form the tight center of Covilhã but a small drive form everything, including going to the Serra da Estrela to look for snow :).
The hotel, and its location, is absolutely beautiful, with a view from our room and the restaurant stretching out over the region. The bathroom and the bedroom were spacious, bathroom had a shower and a large bath, which I loved. It had inside and outside swimming pools and large shaded grounds with an incredible view.
We loved the property itself, a charming and authentically renovated period stone house, with beautifully landscaped gardens and easy access to the town of Covilha. Our hosts, Sofia and Paolo and their manager Jacqueline, could not have done more to make us feel welcome, and also our dog!
The experience was excellent! The room was really cozy and the staff were amazing, super nice and friendly people. The location of the hotel is really good and they have two really nice restaurants attached which were really good tho!
A great stay, you would not believe how good can a night stay be. Newly furnished room very clean and spacious.
The staff were very polite and helpful, and finally, a delicious breakfast served with a good atmosphere.
Our room was large with a great view! The gym was large and complete with a personal trainer on hand to help with machines. Easy access by car to the hotel which is well located for daytrips around the area.
Clean room, nice bathroom with counter space and spacious shower, Netflix on TV, nice pool and outdoor lounging area, and great restaurant downstairs. Very friendly and helpful staff as well.
The Hotel has a very good location. The staff was very polite and when we needed their help they always helped us. The room was very clean. I loved this Hotel. Recommend it!
The The design of the hotel, clean rooms, comfortable bed and most importantly the staff of the hotel were all charming and very helpful
The breakfast was perfect
The location and the view around the hotel, the availability of the swimming pool and the breakfast is pretty much good, with different choice of food.
