Unforgettable experience staying in Amalia's house. The views and location are unmatched and Antonio's cooking made for some very pleasant evenings watching the sunset. 10/10

We've enjoyed our stay a lot while doing the Fishermen's trail. The host (Rosa) was super friendly, and helpful. The room had everything we needed. Plus, we had a delicious dinner at her restaurant. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone visit Zambujeira do Mar.

Very kind & friendly host that showed us around upon arrival. The holiday home has lot's of space for outside seating in front and behind the property - always a spot in the shade or sun to relax :) The entire property was very well maintained. In the morning, we were served very tasty berries from the area.

Spent just one night here while hiking but it was a lovely little town. It was off season (March) but there were still some great restaurants open - would highly recommend Odesos, some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. The surrounding area and coastal hikes are stunning!

Zambujeira do Mar is a great place for someone looking for peace and quiet. There are some tourists but the town is really small with limited accommodation capacity, so the number of people is not overwhelming. Also, a lot of Portuguese spend their holidays there. There’s a few restaurants to choose from, all quite good. Zambujeira do Mar is a small town, so everything is within a short walk distance. I think there’s no ATM there so it’s good to have some cash (if you like to have it with you).

Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August.
Three beautiful beaches, but pretty crowded in August. The village is an overnight stay on the Rota Vicentina, Portugal's long-distance coastal footpath, so there are good walking opportunities. On the two nights we were there we ate at Restaurante Rita. The food is good, but its main attraction is the great view of the stunning sunsets. Pretty well everything in the village is within walking distance so find a place to park your car and leave it there! Non-Portuguese should be aware that this is the Atlantic coast. The sea is cold!

In mid June (2019) the town was still very quiet, though most of the restaurants were open for business. When I went to the beach at 10 am i was literally the only person on the beach, despite it being a cloudless sky and warm sunshine. Most of the other visitors to the town seemed to be hikers walking the "Fishermen's Trail".
I only had time for one meal, but I am very happy with my choice. The restaurant called Sol Dourado, Rua da Palmeira, Lote 43. Try the Sopa de Cação (€13.50) - a large serving, probably enough for two people.

Amazing location situated above a restaurant (where breakfast is held) and right on the main street with many other shops, bars, and restaurants. We walked 50 meters to the bar to grab a drink and watch the sun set. Fantastic! The room that overlooked the plaza could see it from the balcony! Rooms were clean, spacious, and perfect for what we needed. Breakfast was tasty, and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Our host was super kind, albeit spoke little English, but we managed between German, Spanish, and Portuguese. Great spot!
We had initially booked a smaller room but the host was nice to upgrade us to a bigger one with a balcony and more sunlight. The room was quite spacious and the bathroom also. It had TV with many channels, a mini fridge and a kettle. This place is very central near the restaurants/cafes/supermarket and beach but on a quiet street. It's a nice place to rest after hiking if you are doing Rota Vicentina.
The space was easily accessible from the main part of town and Rota Vicentina trail, close to good restaurants and coffee. We loved having access to the kettle, and appreciated being able to check out a little later. Our host graciously helped us book a taxi when we were having trouble; we really appreciated this and hope to return!
Casa da Praia is located in the center of town, close to restaurants, stores and the beach. it was easy to find after a long hike on the Fishermen’s Trail. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet and everything worked. The Wi-Fi was good. Very nice hosts, too. we would stay there again.
Very nice, simple, clean hotel, with very friendly staff. I stayed in a family room, as that was the only one left, which was large - the "kids'" beds, tucked away behind a glass door. Kind of standard three-star hotel breakfast. Walking distance to bars and restaurants and the beach.
it is a wonderful oasis couple of km off the Fishermen’s trail and Zambujeira do Mar (but there is a taxi service), nice place to relax. The wonderful lady Carmo takes care of the property and guests (and spoiled us every morning with some extra treats).
We loved the exceptional welcome by Sandra, the genuine friendliness, the beauty of the room, the comfort, the attention to details, the amazing view from the roof terrace,as well as one of the best breakfasts we have ever had in Portugal.
Everything, especially the fact that we could make tea on a very cold, wet winter day. Also, room was warm which is not always the case in Portugal in winter. Very cosy and welcoming. Also, the best bed we had on our trip.
Very tasty breakfast. Rooms with all necessary facilities to enjoy short holiday break. Location is very quiet and great to escape from busy lifestyle. Good connection to the nearest beach, supermarket (car distance).
Stunning and Tranquil, everything was spot on, I had been travelling around Portugal and this was by far the most beautiful place. Wonderful food and the wine from the local vinyard was so drinkable!
Clean, the owner very friendly, the kitchen well equipped. The location is near to all good restaurants, next to the beach.
if you are doing the Fisherman’s Trail, it is next to the trail.
The house is very well located. The main beach is at only 5 minutes walk. The pedestrian zone is only 50 meters away. A good bakery is in the parallel street.
