Incredible, has to one of the best places I have ever stayed anywhere. The views were insane. The fact that you could use the onsen for free! The staff were super nice. The room was way bigger than expected. The views were the highlight, had to mention it twice.

We were very warmly welcomed and the private onsen was fantastic. Its a traditional place with shared bothrooms, but the rooms themselves are very private and its a really relaxing and economic place to stay.

I liked this hotel a lot! It is located in front of a beach, it's close to the station, the host is a nice person. He served basic breakfast and took me to the station on my way back. I saw some people complaining about breakfast and I don't understand why. It is stated it will be basic. Two toasts, an egg or a sausage and a drink. I eat less for breakfast when I cook it myself. And it's free. The rooms are exactly like on the photos, it's very clean. From amenities you have shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and a tooth brush.

Excellent place to stay for the weekend. The owners are extremely kind, the guesthouse is very comfortable, the onsen is great and the location is super convenient if you want to move around Atami. Besides, the view from the common areas is incredible! You can see Atami beach and if you are lucky enough you can see the fireworks too. I stayed in a mixed dormitory bunk bed, which was very comfortable and affordable (since I was traveling on a budget), but if you prefer a private room there is also the option to do so. Anyhow, I would recommend Guest House Megumi a 100%.

Really quirky place with tons of character. Owned by an artist and has a cool, bohemian vibe. One thing to note is that you don’t stay in the UFO - that’s the family home. You stay in an annex next to it. But the pictures of the tatami raised platform and view of the coast from the window are exactly what you get. A huge space by Japanese standards. The hosts are incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful - despite our language gap!
