Seems really the best location for staying in Hikkaduwa. Best beach 3min walk. DreamTime is total relaxation. No noise or light pollution only nature. Railway is near but not so close that it would affect sleeping.

This place is an absolute gem! The place looks so awesome, with lots of plants and colors, like a little jungle camp - you can see how much effort and love were put into creating it. The cleanest hostel I have ever been. The terrace is really nice and the service is exceptional. Really want to point out how friendly the staff/owners are.

I stayed at L&D for three weeks and was happy the whole time I was there. The staff is happily RESPONSIVE to any requests. Anytime I walked downstairs, someone was there to see if I needed anything. Very nice and filling breakfast every day. Comfortable common area for relaxing and nice balconies. I was happy to have a kettle and small fridge so I could prepare my own simple snacks as needed. The wifi worked great. A nice swimming beach with calm water is in easy walking distance as well as several good restaurants.

I felt at home in this place - killer breakfasts after which you need to lie in bed for two hours, the hotel is very cozy, the rooms are very comfortable, a huge swimming pool. I didn't want to leave this place, and even more I wanted to take it with me, since we understood that in other places in Sri Lanka it would be unlikely to be possible to stay in a similar place...
