Paul and his staff are wonderful hosts who took really good care of us. he organized a boat trip to the 17 Islands and also provided us with a simple, but tasty dinner. The rooms are clean, aircon works well, and there is plenty of privacy if you want it but also opportunity to chat to the other travelers staying here. The garden is also cute!

Boasting a bar and views of city, Escape Bajo is a recently renovated guest house situated in Labuan Bajo, 500 metres from Wae Rana Beach. Hostel was very new and calming with the seaview. You can enjoy beautiful sunset in the evening. One of the cleanest hostel I’ve ever been. If you’re looking for quite, clean and new hostel, this is the place for you! Also felt safe as solo women traveller. Plus staff were very nice and helpful.

Featuring barbecue facilities, shared lounge and views of sea, ORA KOMODO HOME STAY is situated in Komodo, 1.9 km from Pink Beach. Easily one of the most rich experiences we have had on our travels. We enjoyed spending time with jecky’s family, eating delicious home cooked meals, seeing Komodos (of which there are many behind the village), trekking in the national park, swimming with mantas, hiking Padar…the list goes on! Even just sitting on the balcony and watching the fishing boats or the resident dugong play with a sea turtle is a great way to pass the time. Jecky is a great host and has great English. You can arrange/discuss all your travels and activities with him via WhatsApp prior. And his wife is a great cook! This is a unique opportunity you will be lucky to have. It’s a homestay (not some bland hotel experience) so come ready for adventure.

Set in Riung in the East Nusa Tenggara region, RIUNG LALONG TERONG Guest House has a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. It was all very clean, new, airconditioning! and the owners are so sweet!! Also, good breakfast with banana pancake and fruit. The owner helped me a lot by arranging the boat tour and drive to Bajawa. I was also able to rent his scooter. There is the cutest dog and chickens walking around. Just lovely !

Riung Tiga Empat Tujuh Guesthouse is situated in Riung. This bed and breakfast features free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. This brand new place is held by a wonderfull indonesian couple. Very welcoming and helpfull. A few little suggestions to improve customiser experience (like: add a few hangers) but no real big deal. Additionnally Nas' wife is a really good cooker and it is one of the best places where I've had diner on Indonesia. She should propose host table. Very clean. Good bed.

FARILA LODGE is set in Ende. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a car rental service is also available. Farila Lodge is a very nice place. A house with two rooms and a balcony in front. Everything is new and spacious, the bathroom is one of the nicest we had, the shower (hot) with good water pressure. It is not visible from the street as the hill below is very steep, so we were a little confused to only see a sign on the street and no building. But no need to worry. It is there. 😃 We also rented a scooter from them for a day which was quite new and worked fine. Breakfast is brought by a lady who has a small stand selling drinks and snacks right above the house on the street. We had a very tasty nasi goreng with fried egg there. On the first day there was a man to welcome us who spoke a little english and could give us information about laundry, where to eat... When he was gone there was no one speaking english, but the friendly lady from the stand sent us to the Rainbow Cafe just around the corner. They speak english, were able to organise ojeks, transfer to Maumere, do laundry (quite expensive, but clean).
