This place is a gem — I have been travelling around Europe for 4 months and this is my favorite!! The place gives homey feeling with spacious bathroom, bedroom, kitchen & garden - very clean too. The owners are the very best! They are locals who know so much about the area and can tell you about places that have not been as advertised but are really beautiful. As the name suggests, they also provide tour services. I got my Theth bus tickets through them and they made sure I was able to find the bus in the early morning (there was construction in the bus station area), and even took out the time to help me with my bus out of Shkodër. The center of Shkodër is of walking distance from the place and there are grocery stores close to it and open early til late. Thank you for the hospitality — showing me around the very scenic town and the many advices given as I navigate my travels in Theth. They recently opened hence the smaller number of reviews, don’t be deterred by this - I highly recommend.

There’s a football stadium down the street and we were able to catch a match while there.

During my stay at Golden Sleep Hostel, I had an unpleasant experience with one of the guests (Ahmeti), who repeatedly smoked inside the dorm room despite being told not to. The smell of smoke made it very uncomfortable for me and the others in the room. To be fair, the hostel staff clearly informed him of the no-smoking policy and warned him multiple times. I really appreciated how the staff handled the situation — their effort to enforce the rules and ensure our safety was at the highest level. I believe this issue needs even stricter enforcement to avoid similar cases in the future. Other than that, the hostel was well located and the staff were kind and professional.

I had a fantastic experience at Kultura Hostil during my visit to Shkoder. The location is simply perfect, right in the heart of the city, yet still in a quiet spot where you can rest peacefully at night. What truly made my stay special was the incredible hospitality of the staff. Everyone I met was warm, friendly, and always ready to help with recommendations. They made me feel at home from the first moment. The hostel itself is cozy and has a very authentic, artistic vibe. ¡Gracias por todo!
