Cozy house just a couple of minutes by walk from the bus stop to get downtown. Bob is a very welcoming host and helpful with the logistics. The house is very well clean, we will be back for sure when we get back to Calgary. Absolutely recommended.

HI Calgary City Centre is located in East Village, right around the corner from downtown. Free coffee and tea is provided all day. The man with the red cap on the front desk was so lovely, very hospitable and friendly. He makes the place very welcoming and homely.

Located on Banff National Park, this hostel is just 5 minutes’ walk from Banff’s shops and bars. A clean hostel with friendly staff. I had a bathroom in my room, which was great. There was a large kitchen, and a plus: the ability to store luggage without checking in or having to close the curtain. 6 female bedroom

Set amid the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park, this hostel boasts an on-site cafe and 2 self-catering guest kitchens. It includes private storage for guests and acts as a ski pass vendor. I got a free upgrade from a four-person room to a private room. The entire place, including the bathroom and shower, is very clean, and the common area is spacious and comfortable.

HI-Banff Alpine Centre har utsikt över Klippiga bergen. Här finns ett kafé, en bar och boende med gratis WiFi, kök och självhushåll. Det tar knappt 5 minuter att köra till centrala Banff. Det fanns låsbara skåp i rummet och mycket utrymme i skåpen. Rummet var bra storlek

Jasper East Hostel - Near Jasper National Park East Gate Entrance ligger i Jasper och erbjuder boende med en gemensam lounge. Vandrarhemmet erbjuder både gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering. I have stayed four nights in total at the Jasper East Hostel where I was warmly welcomed by Angie and Michael. As a solo hiker in Jasper, Angie offered assistance and took the time to finetune my itinerary to make the most of my stay here in Jasper. I also saw her helping many other guests like that. She is just very present and involved, putting her heart into it. I was initially planning to go to the visitor centre for information, but there was no need anymore because of Angie’s input. I think this is really the added value of this hostel. The personal approach every single day. I enjoyed every minute of it. I honestly felt so at home that I could have stayed longer than four nights. After a whole day out, it feels very nice to have place to go to at the end of the day that feels a bit like home. And that is exactly what Angie did, make me feel at home. Communication was very open: “if you need anything, please just ask. If there is anything we can improve, please share it with us”. To put this in action: we actually even did some redecorating together! I have to say that the place is much more open and cosy than how I imagined it from the pictures. The people I met at the hostel were not the typical youngsters. A bit of a calmer audience and this was just what I was looking for in this type of setting. Very social atmosphere and met a lot of lovely people and had interesting conversations. There is free coffee and tea for the taking, which is always a plus for me as well. I also liked the single room with bathroom. The outside area is very cosy as well. A visit to the brewery next door is a must! Good service and food (big portions - suggest to take any leftovers to the hostel where you can reheat them for the next day).

Canmore Alpine Hostel - Alpine Club of Canada ligger i Canmore, 29 km från The Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies, och erbjuder boende med gratis cyklar, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge... The location was perfect. Away from the town. Set in an amazing setting. Floor to ceiling glass with views over the mountains. The Three Sisters stood gloriously within eyes view. Hikes two mins from Lodge. The lodge was exceptionally spotless clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Outdoor and indoor seating for eating. I cannot fault this accommodation.
