Location-wise, it’s ideal—tucked away in a tranquil, nature-filled setting yet close enough for easy access to the beach. The amenities were just perfect, especially the pool area, which quickly became our go-to spot for relaxation and unwinding. And let’s talk about the atmosphere—quiet, serene, and surrounded by lush greenery, providing the perfect escape. It’s rare to find a place that checks every box, but Shanty Surf Camp Hotel did exactly that and more. If you’re looking for a destination that offers peace, beauty, and everything you could possibly want in a getaway, this is it. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Amazing homely little hostel with super relaxed vibes. It has been so well equipped with every little detail- free tea, coffee, milk and seasoning for cooking, shampoo and conditioner in the showers, and every bed has a lamp, fan and plug. There’s even a workout area and a place to watch movies. It’s gorgeous and quaint and had so much space to relax. It’s really clean too and has recycling which is a rare bonus. Cesar, the volunteer, was an absolute superstar. I can’t recommend enough of you’re looking for a chilled vibe!

The place was simply amazing and exceeded all of our expectations. The staff welcomed us with such warmth and kindness. The room was spacious and luxurious, the outdoor shower was refreshing and fun, and the food at the restaurant was excellent. It was also really nice that guests are trusted to take drinks freely and just write it down. I highly, highly recommend it. In addition, during our stay there was a power outage in the town. The staff were very accommodating and agreed to cancel the extra night we had booked (even though it wasn’t their fault at all) and helped us arrange a taxi to our next destination. We truly hope we’ll be able to return again in the future!

Great Location, QUIET, appart from the local bars, just 300ft from the beach. You can rent chairs, umbrella and a cooler from the Hotel so you can really spend your whole day comfy at the beach. Sundeck with hammocks is amazing for sunset. Really enjoyed staying here! Will be back definitely!
