It’s so close to stores, the town and connected to train station. I would rate 10 plus. It’s so nice.

Located just 14 km from Konakano Station, 津軽三味線と民謡 繭子の宿 features accommodation in Hachinohe with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a 24-hour front desk. A hot tub is available for... L'habitació era gran i espaiosa. Va estar bé veure el ball/concert de dues cançons tradicionals japoneses que ens van fer. El personal era molt somrient i amable. Com en la majoria de llocs, no parlen anglès, però hi ha molta voluntat comunicativa. Ens van venir a buscar puntuals i ens van portar quan ho vam demanar.

The staff, food, location and room were all exceptional. I would recommend this ryokan to anyone wanting an exceptional ryokan experience. The onsen was also fantastic and the warmest one we came across in our month in Japan.

Situated in Kuroishi in the Aomori region, Tabinoyado Saikawa features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to spa facilities. This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with public baths (gender separated). Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Guest House Chara is located in Hirosaki, 34 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 3.5 km from Hirosaki Castle. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming - there was also a breakfast included (which I didn't remember getting). The house was full of history and souvenirs which I'm sure the hosts are more than happy to talk to you about. There is also "sake nights" where the hosts offered us a chance to try different sakes. There is only one shower in the facility, so there is a booking system to reserve your shower slot.
