The Blossom Kumamoto is most accessible from Kumamoto Station and connects to the mall. It’s Front Office is very picturesque, with mountains of Kumamoto as backdrop. FO staff has good command of the english language, making communication less difficult. They are not shy to greet guests passing to and fro. Upon inquiry, staff recommended “Liebe” as “steak place,” and we had a blast! Steak was very good and not expensive, allowing us to bring our own wine upon payment of minimal corkage…bravo! The hotel is very secured with a big main door that requires guests’ keycards to open it and an elevator that automatically sets guests to their respective floors. Rooms have separate toilet and bath, well-provided with amenities/toiletries and it is possible to open the window to let Kumamoto’s cool winter breeze (brrrrr🥶) in. There are english-speaking channels available and coffee at the lounge is free-flowing.

From the very kind and friendly stuff, to the breakfast, and the cleanliness and relaxing facilities. I ended up staying for 4 days and it was the best hotel in the long few months trip in Japan. Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. The breakfast was exceptional in quality and we felt right at home and relaxed immediately upon arrival. The location was pristine and the room so comfortable. The onsen was one of the best in town!

Marvellous view of the city, sea, vulcan from the room. Fantastic breakfast in food quantity and quality, we ate outside on the patio of the breakfast restaurant. A lot of warm dishes, a lot of choice and also finest French patisserie. Fantastic onsen in the hotel. Fantastic nature and forest around the hotel. Very quiet at night. We used the bus coach to reach the city from the hotel, we also walked during the day through the pedestrian walk in the marvellous forest. To reach the entrance of the walk from the hotel, just follow the indication "Promenade" from the hotel: it is super easy: get out of the main entrance of the hotel, walk to the left, walk 100mt up to the kiosks selling tourist stuff, here follow indication "Promenade", it is other 70mt , and then take the path going down, it is not a road, it is very easy and very wide trail.

The best part about this hotel is the free all day dining food! It tastes really good we even skipped some of the meals to come back and eat at the hotel! Menu varies throughout the day and the bread options was so delicious! Highly recommend for people who don’t mind having to explore local food for every meal.

Open from September 2019, only 150 metres from JR Hakata Train Station, Miyako Hotel Hakata offers stylish rooms with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. The location is fantastic. We stayed only one night and it was a luxurious experience. The public baths on the rooftop were quiet and clean, with a small sauna room. The staff was very kind and helpful and let us leave the luggage after the check-out time to allow us to go around the city a bit.
