We were greeted warmly after parking in front of the easily accessible, secure, free parking in front of the hotel. Our stay at this well located and beautifully restored home of a revered Viseu teacher/archaeologist has been a highlight of our travels around Portugal. This is a family owned and run hotel and pride of ownership is clearly evident. The family was so gracious and kind and we learned so much about life in this region from them. The lovely, spacious room and large bathroom were immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Our stay was perfect and we look forward to returning!

The location was beautiful with mountain views. All the staff was very helpful and exceptionally friendly. The breakfast was worth it- complete and varied. In overall, I enjoy my stay. Pihapiiri ja huone olivat todella kauniit. Huone oli erittäin siisti ja hyvällä maulla remontoitu. Aamiainen nautittiin viinirypälelehmuston alla pöytiin tarjoillen ja oli todella herkullinen. Allasalue oli sopiva auringonottoon ja vilvoittavaan pulahdukseen. Palvelu oli superystävällistä ja paikka ja tunnelma todella kotoisa ja välitön. Ihana paikka!

The staff is exceptional - so friendly and welcoming - they truly make you feel at home. Our room was fantastic: clean, well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, and the bed was very comfortable. One detail I really appreciated was the paper napkins provided in the bathroom - a small touch you don’t usually see in accommodations, but I loved it! The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of food to choose from. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience. Without a doubt, we’ll be staying here again the next time we visit Serra da Estrela! P.S. If they offer you tangerines, definitely take them - they’re super sweet and delicious 😍

The rooms were clean, the Christmas decorations added to the festive atmosphere, and the spa experience was wonderful for relaxation.
