Domnu Ion was very courteous. We came late after check in time. He was understanding and he opened his doors to us when no one else would. The apartment was neat, tidy, clean, had all amenities you need, and was very much needed after a full day of traveling on the road. Domnu Ion was knowledgeable about everything!

Complete with a garden and a bar, Cataleya House is located in Oeşti-Pămînteni, 18 km from Vidraru Dam and 37 km from Cozia AquaPark. Nice location for night stop just before Transfagarashan! New building, new furniture, breakfast on request, nice terrace.

The house is clean, spacious and the backyard is massive. There is a beautiful view of the mountains and trees and there is even a river that flows by the house so you can hear the water flowing the entire day which is very relaxing. It's a great place to stay if you want to be near the tranfargerisan highway. A+

Featuring inner courtyard views, Dorul Pescarului provides accommodation with balcony, around 39 km from Vidraru Dam. This is the perfect place for a family stay. We stayed for three days after having hiked in the high mountains and it was a treat. There is a small pool that the kids will love (and the parents too, when its hot), ping pong, pool and a playground. The place is family run and all the staff is so nice and forthcoming for every kind of request. We got brilliant advice about which places to visit and really nice food as well. I really recommend!
