BelgiumCharming stylish boutique hotel, perfectly located in a small, historic village by the sea. The completely uncrowded beach is 100m from the hotel. The facilities were excellent, staff first class and general environment unbelievably calm and relaxing. Regrettably we were passing through so only spent one night. Next time hopefully a bit longer. If like us you are driving from elsewhere in Europe to Sweden via the Puttgarden ferry, this is a perfect place to over-night.

DenmarkBreakfast was fresh, cozy and kid friendly. Bedroom was clean and spacious for 4 people, it had a fan an a small fridge, which was very practical. Beds were comfortable and the owner was very friendly, if traveling back in that area, we will definitely stay again. Grocery stores were within 6 minutes away by car, and knuthenborg safari was close and easy to drive from there. 100% recommended.

Was a great experience: The hotel was unique and the best option in the area, extremely clean and comfortable, and the staff were so friendly. It is ideal to go with the family and has many games to play inside. And the breakfast was so yummy and has things for all the tastes.
Ronny was so nice we felt really welcomed and Lori (Maianela) you must meet her at the reception is the gem in the hotel, sweet, full of smile she showed us the old factory today part of the hotel. Was an extra that makes our stay remarkable. For sur, this will be my place every time I visit Lolland. Mange gange tusin tak. Vi ses. 🥰🇩🇰

I stayed at Hotel Saxkjøbing for a night and was genuinely impressed. The building itself is beautiful, full of history and atmosphere, with lovely old details that make it feel very special.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. It’s not a luxury hotel, but everything feels genuine.
The restaurant is definitely worth visiting for dinner too. The food is simple but beautifully prepared and based on local ingredients I've been told.
Overall, this was one of the most pleasant and authentic hotel experiences I’ve had in Denmark. If you enjoy historical buildings, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere, Hotel Saxkjøbing is absolutely worth a visit.

The Seaview had all the facilities you need. The location is wonderful. Absolutely idyllic. Short walk to a beautiful working fishing Harbour. Looking out the windows, across a field of Lupines, we had a view over to the water. The street had such a range of houses, it was like a museum. We enjoyed the hospitality of Stig and Ida. Really appreciated.

The town is not very interesting but it is close to the...
The town is not very interesting but it is close to the ferry which was an advantage to me.
I recommend that you avoid the Rödby Steakhouse and Pizzaria, on Östergade, the main street. I went there for a quick meal. The waitress and the cook were polite and friendly but the owner seems dishonest. He refused the payment by card and he asked me to pay cash in euro. He gave me the change, coins, in Turkish lira instead of in euro. He made some 3 - 4 euros by this trick which is really small money, but it caused a very negative impression. It is sad and a pity.

Lovely small city with some great restaurants. Lovely scenery and relaxing vibe. Ferry just south to Germany was above our expectations. We were recommended Restaurant B but you need a reservation...the place smelled of excellent cooking! They recommended we try Bangs Have...awesome place with a very good Chef and Luisa the maitre di/server was outstanding. She gave us top service and good choices. Loved our meal and the location on the water and in the trees is Magical!! Try this place you won't be disappointed.
