It was the most magical place we have ever stayed.
The location was stunning, the hotel beautiful, the staff so friendly especially Tom (he’s fabulous) and the food was fantastic.
It was perfect from start to finish.
They added birthday banners, a balloon, card and shortbread box which was the cutest little surprise.
Every little thing had such attention to detail. We are planning to stay again next summer.
It was amazing

I wanted to eat everything on the menu, which has clearly been put together to take advantage of locally sourced produce.
The staff couldn't do enough for us , with a good old-fashioned customer service.
The decor and rooms make for a country house feel with a modern twist....
There's been no expense spared on the recent refurbishment.
If Iived a little closer, I would be a regular, sadly living in Perth Australia 🇦🇺 it will have to be next year!

SpainThe staff at The Stag Hotel were fantastic. I have complicated dietary needs, they bent over backwards to accommodate me. The staff are friendly, helpful and kind. My room was very spacious, decorated tastefully, comfortable and spotlessly clean. I enjoyed my stay hugely and although I couldn't eat very much from the menu, it was a lovely menu and the food coming from the kitchen looked amazing. I thoroughly recommend the Stag.

I would definitely visit this hotel again as I really enjoyed my time. It was in a fantastic location, the next day we woke up with ponies in front of the hotel, near our cars. The staff was super nice and accommodating. Everything is clean, and the place is very quiet and relaxing. The food was really good as well.

The village i itself is very clean and pretty with lots of lovely places for coffee etc. All the people I met wee extremely friendly and helpful. It was a really wunderfull place from which we could visit all the spots at the amazing National Park New Forest. Hostess Linda was very kind, helpfull and she even took care of some breakfast for us. Next to the beautiful site it is very comfortable and complete. We certainly come back here! We were disappointed that the pier ferry wasn't working but the pier and the train were very interesting - lots of plaques on the pier with interesting information and lots of inscriptions on the planks on the pier. The town was very nice - a surprising number of different shops in such a small area. The town centre and pier within very easy walking distance from the Boathouse hotel. Lovely pubs and excellent cafes for breakfast. The road running through the village is exceptionally busy at times, with cars and some lorries as it is an A road. Small pavements and difficult to navigate when busy. The forest is over the road and easily accessible. This area might be too busy for those wanting peace and quiet.
