We had a wonderful experience here. The hostess was incredibly kind and helpful: she assisted us with all our questions, recommended great places to eat, and gave us tips on how to reach the sights we wanted to see.
The house itself is beyond praise. It is very spacious, with three bedrooms each having its own bathroom and toilet, plus an extra toilet downstairs in the living room. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, large fridge, coffee and tea. In the evenings we enjoyed playing the many interesting board games available.
The location is simply perfect — right in the very center of Mestia, within walking distance to everything you might need. And of course, the views are breathtaking: from the huge lodge balcony you can admire the snowy peaks. This place added so many wonderful impressions to our trip, and we couldn’t have asked for more.

This is a very good value hotel, which is primarily used for tour groups. The hotel is only ten minutes walk from the centre. We had a room on the third floor overlooking the mountains which was very good. The room is a good size and the twin beds were surprisingly, extremely comfortable. Simple breakfast but adequate. WiFi in our room was very weak, however in the reception area there is a strong signal. Outside the front of the hotel in the garden, there is a very good covered terrace area with plenty tables and chairs. The manager was very pleasant and helpful with any requests. Overall great value.

First of all, it appeared that the car rented by us showed fuel level incorrectly, and we ran out it 20km prior reaching Mestia. We phoned the hotel with our problem - and they came to rescue us bringing 20 liters canister of petrol!
We also travelled with our dog and had no issues staying with her in the hotel.
Then, we really enjoyed the fire place with swing chairs surrounding it. It was a really pleasant experience talking to friends in the evening and at night, in front of the fire.
So, I'd really prefer to stay here next time I visit Svaneti.

We loved our stay here - rooms were comfortable with a private bathroom and beautiful view over Mestia. We ate all our dinners at the hotel restaurant (yes it was that good) and they must be one of the best in town! Breakfasts were great as well and varied each day. The only minor drawback is that it's situated on a cobblestoned steep slope, and we had to carry our luggage up, but the hotel and restaurant was so good that it's well worth the initial hike.

A wonderful place to stay a night (or more). We arrived after a rainy day in the mountains and we were warmly welcomed. The food and breakfast couldn't be better. The room was very spacious. To get our clothes and shoes dry again, the owner brought out yet another electric heater. Don't hesitate to spend a night here!

The house is brillant. Cosy and clean and breakfast is probably the best I ever had. While staying there with my daughter I fell ill with covid. Rosudan let my daughter have the other room, which was not occupied, so we could separate, without charge. She helped me with tea and kompott. Thank you so much, Rosudan!

Safe village with rich Svaneti Historical museum. Worth to visit Laghami church as well. In the country, which is famous for wines, visiting local beer brewery "Setieli" might be an exotic adventure and fun.
Favourite place to eat Lanchvali restaurant, if too tired to get up to the hill, "Lushnu Our" might be the second choise, although too crowdy.
Cable car get you up to Zuruldi masiff. Mestia is great location for those who enjoy one day trecking and walks.

A small port town with not much to do, but you can check out the lighthouse, stroll through the town center, and enjoy some good food. Maltakva Beach is decent too.
I’ve heard that trash from nearby rivers sometimes washes up on the beach — something to keep in mind.

Ushguli is a wonderful city with its stunning nature and historical beauty, perfect for resting after long trekking and hiking adventures. Tamar Castle is a must-visit spot. Located at the upper part of the city, it’s reached via a scenic path intertwined with a dried-up riverbed. The view of the city from the castle is breathtaking. Additionally, vibrant wildflowers along the mountains add a colorful charm to the city’s atmosphere. After a 6-day hike, we arranged a taxi back to Mestia with help from the facility where we stayed. It’s also easy to find many taxi drivers in the city square.

Martvili Canyon is a breathtaking natural wonder. Paddle through its emerald waters on a boat, gazing upwards at the towering limestone cliffs adorned with lush greenery. The tranquil silence is occasionally broken only by the melodic chirping of birds and the gentle gurgling of cascading waterfalls. For an adrenaline rush, consider the zipline that soars over the canyon, offering a truly exhilarating perspective. While it may come at a slight premium, the experience is well worth it.

Zhabeshi is the first overnight stop on the most common route taken by hikers walking the iconic Mestia-to-Ushguli hike. (There are alternative routes that bypass Zhabeshi.) The village is located in an exquisite valley just below the confluence of the Tviberi and Tsaneri Rivers, nestled under the slopes of Tetnuldi and Banguriani peaks in the Greater Caucasus Range. If you're into mountain environments and ancient villages steeped in history, it doesn't get much better than this.

This place was HUGE disappointment. Environment in general was untidy, especially entrances of the buildings, poolside, etc. Poor quality service and lame breakfast made us rapidly leave the premises.

We really liked Mestia surrounded by magnificent mountains. It's a small cozy town. Wooden and stone buildings perfectly complement the mountain scenery.
As for food, for a small town there is a good choice of restaurants, cafes, and there are also small grocery stores.
We mostly went hiking near Mestia and got a lot of positive impressions, enjoying the amazing scenery.

If you like to enjoy the simple things of life, go to Poti.
If you like to enjoy the simple things of life, go to Poti. Express Inn was the place to stay and it was more than great. There are 2 beaches close by but you can also enjoy the view of the sea from the boulevard where you can also enjoy a walk. The town its walkable, it's pretty chill and picturesque, it has an astonishing Cathedral, the oldest Lighthouse in Georgia and the simple beauty of their houses.

It is a small town with many cars. Dadiani's palace and botanical garden are must-sees, and the rest are the courtyards of Zugdidi residents with beautiful flowers. 2 days is enough. It is very similar to a village, only one main street is similar to a city :)
