Very charming, family-run hotel in the hills of the Douro Valley with not only an extraordinary view on the bending river. But most strikingly - the house has personality which obviously reflects the owner’s passion for place, history and intimacy. Vintage items, personal photos here and there makes you feel like staying at a friends’ place who also has lovely recommendations at hand when you look for places to explore. And if you want to just relax and enjoy the view - the hotel’s pool and the surrounding terraces are just perfect to calm down. Moreover: one of us was sick during our stay - and the hosts were super helpful, understanding and supporting, this was extraordinary. Thank you so much!

Very welcoming. The villa is beautiful, clean and maintained very well. We took our 6 month old on her first vacation in Portugal and we definitely recommend it! Rental car is not necessarily a must because they can provide transportation services, but it makes things a lot more accessible.
