Yuno Yado Shoei ligger 8 minuters promenad från JR Tambaguchi Station. Här erbjuds en japansk restaurang och en allmän varm källa. Gratis privat parkering finns på plats vid förhandsbokning. I can't even begin to describe how wonderful our stay was. We had a long day of hiking in the pouring rain which just kept on coming. Once we got to our room, we decided we're not going anywhere after a change of clothes (to the robes we had in our room). It was a lovely realization that we could book massages, enjoy the Japanese spa and have dinner under one roof. So we just did all that. Everything was perfect: The spa was magical, I sat there in the steaming hot outdoor bath alone while the rain is pouring and just closed my eyes thinking I'm in heaven... the massage was one of the best we've ever experienced, it was done while fully clothed so without the oily feeling after! And the dinner.. One of the best ones we had during our entire 3-city trip. We had to wait a bit and the kitchen was closing but they managed to fit us in just before the closing and we were so happy and content with the entire experience. Finally, our room was a very traditional one, futons on the tatami and a little table with a tea set and a sweet treat which was a great addition to the experience.

Kyoto Takasegawa Bettei ligger bekvämt beläget i Kyoto och har conciergeservice och gratis privat parkering. Hotell med traditionell japansk stil. Supertrevlig personal som alltid var hjälpsam. Du lämnar skorna vid receptionen och får innetofflor att använda på hotellet. Bra storlek på rummen, bodde två i ett rum och tre i ett annat. Trevligt med badkar i trä i badrummet. Det finns fina kimono-badrockar att använda. Lugnt och tyst område precis vid en kanal men ändå bara 15 min gångväg till Kyoto station och nära till flera tunnelbanestationer. I kvarteret låg en väldigt trevlig ölbar, Kyoto Beer Lab - prova den.

Luck You Kyoto erbjuder boende i Kyoto och har gratis bagageförvaring. Rummen har platt-tv och eget badrum med badkar, bidé, badrockar, tofflor, gratis badprodukter och hårtork. The friendly and helpful staffs at the Ryokan. The room is just right for two and it's clean and comfortable. The free entry to bath house opposite the Ryokan is a must try.

Kyomachiya Ryokan Sakura Urushitei ligger 10 minuters promenad från den livliga stadsdelen Kawaramachi och erbjuder boende i japansk stil med moderna faciliteter och traditionell design. Good location (close to shopping area and train station) with comfortable futon beds. We would love to have had more days to enjoy more of the hotel’s facilities.

Ryokan Ryokufuso erbjuder gratis Wi-Fi och en rymlig allmän badavdelning, 15 minuters promenad från järnvägsstationen JR Kyoto. Fantastiska rum, härligt bad, trevlig personal.

Morizuya ligger vid shoppinggatan i området Kinosaki Onsen, som är känt för sina varma kurbad. Här erbjuds boende i japansk stil och utsökt japansk mat. The staff is extremely nice, it is located near all the relevant public baths and the town's temple. The private onsen is great both for relaxing and for preparing yourself to the bigger public ones. And it is not even expensive.

Traditional multi-course dinners, hot-spring baths overlooking old forests, and spacious Japanese rooms with nature views await guests at Negiya Ryofukaku. Vi hade ett underbart fint rum med liten trädgård och badkar med dusch utomhus. Fantastisk mat. Väldigt trevlig personal som verkligen bidrog till vistelsen. Toppenläge centralt i byn men ändå avsides i skogen. Underbar onsen.

Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in är ett 1 000 år gammalt buddhistiskt tempel. Här erbjuds boende i japansk stil, en vacker trädgård och gratis WiFi. Everything about our stay was fantastic! The room was absolutely fabulous, and we were delighted to receive an upgrade. Having our own private onsen-style facility in the bathroom made the experience truly special. The monk staff were incredibly gracious, friendly, and always ready to help.

Seikoro Ryokan ligger i Kyoto, 7 minuters bilresa från Kyotos JR-station. Här erbjuds traditionellt japanskt boende, ett offentligt badhus och massage. Gratis Wi-Fi finns i alla utrymmen. We only stayed one night but it was worth it. We were looking into a traditional Ryokan experience and that’s what we received. The complete staff was super kind, they welcomed us, received our bags before check in and later when we came up they welcomed us with tea and local sweets. In the night we had our kaiseki dinner (13 courses) it was a lot but definitely an experience to remember. Not good tho for sensitive paladars, be prepared to eat everything. The girl who served as our host was super nice and explained us everything. The private bath was also a highlight. We loved every second.
