The two staff were great - they speak English quite well, and were very patient with our very poor Japanese. Dinner + Breakfast is really good (but you do need to let them know you would like to have dinner when you are making your booking).

Hotel Fuki no Mori ligger 20 minuters resa från tågstationen JR Nagiso med hotellets kostnadsfria pendelservice. Du kan njuta av promenader i trädgården eller i de vackra områdena runt hotellet. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful with a mix of interesting and tasty food. It looked beautiful too. The onsen was amazing with wonderful facilities. We particularly enjoyed the outside onsen in the early morning. We paid for an evening meal( there was nowhere else to go anyway) and it was wonderful. Such interesting and beautifully presented food. Our waiter explained what everything was.

A 7-minute walk from Yudanaka Train Station, Yorozuya features hot spring baths, a hot tub and Japanese-style rooms with a private terrace and private bathroom. A true ryokan experience with an exceptional food service. This heritage building is well-kept, dignified, and an absolute delight. There was no need to leave the building to have a satisfying bath—indoor or outdoor. I loved the private bath, and the overall tradition of the ryokan. The staff was so accommodating of our late check-in, took care to deliver our luggage to the station while we go to the Snow Monkey Park, and were attentive to our needs.

Oshi Ryokan ligger bara 5 minuters promenad från den historiska helgedomen Togakushi. Här erbjuds traditionellt boende i det fridfulla bergsområdet, som används för pilgrimer. The warm hospitality conveyed by Oshi san and wife, delicious and priceless home cooked meals and the serenity of the surroundings. its basically a quaint village up the mountainside. Even the soba shops in the area serve food from the heart - the quality and quantity of ingredients served is way different from the towns!

Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya ligger bara 10 minuters bilresa från Snow Monkey Park och erbjuder enkelt boende i japansk stil med gratis Wi-Fi. We really enjoyed experience: Very friendly and helpful host, speaking English the excellent food at breakfast and dinner, variety of vegetable/fish and very nice presentation, excellent in quality and quantity, a joy for the eyes and the body. Nice interior of the room and hotel, quiet at night Onsen inside the hotel, by booking your time. This was fantastic as we could enjoy the experience as a private onsen, highly appreciated. Excellent location of the hotel inside the village Free parking on the premises of the hotel

A 3-minute walk from Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Kadowakikan features ski-to-door access, a hot spring bath and free WiFi. Mr. Kadowakikan was super friendly and helpful. He picked us up and dropped us off at the shuttle bus stop. He helped us order rental ski/snowboard equipment to the hotel. The hotel's own onsen was very clean and more comfortable than the town's free onsens.
