The room was very spacious with a lot of attention to detail, the hotel was very clean and modern, quiet with a beautiful garden. IndiaIt is a new hotel, a hidden gem with a great view in the middle of the city. The restaurant is not operative yet, but the manager was nice enough to provide us with vegetarian breakfast and dinner home cooked at the owner's house. The staff was helpful throughout the day and night whenever we had any problems. The rooms are very modern and very well laid our for comfort with a beautiful balcony with a great view.

SloveniaThe best stay in Srilanka for us. In the middle of the nature, cozy, clean rooms, delicious food and extremely hospitable staff who made us feel like very special guests. The owner arranged for us last minute tickets for the train and even arranged transportation to the station. You just tell what you need and you can consider it done. Nice feeling:). Would be happy to stay for a longer period.

United KingdomWhat a lovely stay we had. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. Beautiful views. We had a dip in the pool in the evening and dinner on the balcony to top it off. Vijitha went out of his way to help us arrange our tickets for the train from Kandy to Ella, and drop us off at the train station. The location is perfect to get to Peradeniya Station (the stop before Kandy).

Kandy has a UNESCO HERITAGE site worth visiting specially during Perihera festival. The general standards of hygiene and sanitation are not upto the mark. Keeping in view the footfall at Kandy the facilities for rest rooms almost completely absent. The tuk-tuk guys charge exorbitant from tourists for short distances and local administration and police have no control on them. There are no prepaid autos and taxis available. The Esala Perehera in August is a wonderful spectacle and completely free to watch unless you want to buy a seat. Avoid the tourist restaurants and eat where the locals eat for tasty and cheap food. Some of the other attractions have the habit of charging tourists a lot more than locals to visit. The Queens hotel is an old world type place for a drink. Kandy is a vibrant and busy town with the usual pollution , a few interesting places to visit, great eats but it is difficult to avoid the noise and stink of traffic , even when walking around the lake.Guest review byandyNew Zealand
